Mosaic classes are a fun way to meet people, have a chat & a laugh and create something beautiful that's uniquely yours. Bring some friends, or just come along and try your hand at mosaic. Group classes in Hobart and other areas around Tasmania may be available by arrangement. Contact me directly with your group request

Beginner Course

A beginner's class is a great place to try a new art & craft hobby. All materials are included, you just need to bring your smile. You can join a three session course on Tuesday or Thursday evenings. Private 1 on 1 classes are also available upon request. Contact me for details.

Complete your first mosaic over three sessions.
6:00pm to 8:30pm on Tuesdays and 9:30am to 12:00pm on Wednesdays

If you like the look of stained glass, leadlighting or mosaic but don't know where to start, then this is the class for you. Stained glass mosaic is a great way to learn about cutting and shaping glass pieces to make beautiful artwork, without the worry about soldering lead etc.

You will have access to a range of pre-cut glass shapes (tesserae) in a variety of colours and textures. You will learn how to cut, trim and shape the glass to custom fit your artwork. You will learn about different mosaic styles and how to lay mosaic pieces (andamento).
You can choose a shaped timber base to create a colourful mosaic or a clear acrylic disc to make a beautiful suncatcher.

In the first two sessions, you will learn to cut and shape glass to fit your mosaic design. The third session is to grout, clean and polish your finished artwork.
Tea & coffee provided plus the cookie jar is full and ready for a light supper.

Intermediate Mosaic sessions

Completed a Beginner’s Class and want to do more? Come along for Intermediate Sessions.

6:00pm to 8:30pm on Tuesdays and 9:30am to 12:00pm on Wednesdays

Here you can bring your own project to work on, or purchase a kit from the Studio.

You will access to all tools and equipment to continue perfecting your mosaic skills. Your instructor will also be on hand to help on your mosaic journey.
